The Aldine ISD Career & Technical Education High School is being constructed on a 44-acre site, near the intersection of West Rd. and Deer Trail Dr. This new 227,000 square-foot facility will encompass specialized classrooms for (1) robotics, (2) animation, (3) logistics, (4) auto technology, (5) engineering, (6) machining, (7) welding, (8) health science programs – i.e., dental, EMT), (9) standard classrooms, (10) science labs, (11) gymnasium, and (12) integrated building technology.
Construction commenced in November 2016, the site clearing is now 95% complete. Building pad preparation is approximately 70% complete and structural piers are being drilled. Grading for parking areas and drives has started from the entrance on Deer Trail Drive. The existing pipeline has been lowered. Detention pond excavation is approximately 65% complete. Underground storm sewer is ongoing in all areas.
