We recognize the importance of Blanson CTE Parent Literacy ESL Classes, and so do our student volunteers. Without our student volunteers these classes would not be as successful as it has been.
Our students are instrumental in helping with translations as well as being a mentor for our parents. The volunteers help fulfill a need in our community by helping the coordinators educate our parents of English language learners. By encouraging and motivating parents through the lessons, our students recognize the need for such engagement. The assistance from the distribution and logistics volunteers during the December 7th class helped our parents feel supportive by helping to facilitate strategies throughout the course. We salute
Our Parent Literacy ESL Classes have taken place one Saturday each month beginning in November and will continue to take place through the month of May.
