FACE volunteers assist school representatives in picking up school supplies.

Aldine ISD received 20 pallets of school supplies — 7,200 school supply packets — from Kroger as part of the Kroger Backpack Booster Program. AISD was one of the districts selected to benefit from the program.

The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department reached out to Aldine ISD schools to determine the need. The department hosted an in-house drive-thru for campuses representatives to stop by and pick up their school supplies on Friday, September 3, at the Bamberg Professional Development and Resource Center.

“I want to acknowledge Kroger and the individuals involved in making this possible for our students. We distributed school supplies to all Aldine ISD schools. The donation will make a difference to students who need the supplies,” said Dr. Martha Escalante, executive director of FACE.

The Kroger Backpack Booster Program helped equip more than 50,000 children across Texas and Louisiana with the tools they need for a successful school year.
