The school district will host a job fair for potential teachers and substitute teachers on Saturday, March 5. The fair will be at Davis High School (12525 Ella Blvd.• Houston, TX 77067), from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The district is hiring certified teachers in all areas, including high need areas like bilingual education, special education, math, science, etc. Candidates can meet school principals and other leaders at the job fair and get an interview. Teachers’ salary starts at $58,000. In addition, all qualified AISD teachers are eligible for critical needs supplement pay.

Substitute Teachers

Aldine ISD is also looking for substitute teachers to support schools and serve district students. If you enjoy working with children while maintaining a flexible work schedule, you should consider becoming a substitute teacher.

Substitute teaching can be a rewarding job and often assists aspiring teachers in gaining the experience needed to lead their own classroom. It also provides a flexible job schedule where you determine the days you will work. When the regular teacher is absent, substitute teachers play a significant role in maintaining a stable classroom. It is critical that students have effective teachers every day and that no instructional time is wasted.
