12 Blanson CTE High School Students Earn Level 1 Certification in Hospitality Management From HCC
The district Choice School campus offers the Hospitality and Tourism CTE Program; the campus partners with HCC to offer industry certifications in Hotel Management and Restaurant Management.

Twelve Blanson CTE High School seniors in the Hospitality and Tourism Program earned their Level 1 Certificate in Hotel Management from Houston Community College (HCC). This certification is a significant milestone, marking their progress toward a fulfilling career in the in-demand hospitality industry.
The Hotel Management Certificate Level 1 is an academic achievement and a gateway to a promising future. It equips students with a strong foundation of knowledge and skills and, more importantly, industry-recognized credentials that significantly boost their employability. It is a testament to their preparedness for the diverse opportunities in the hospitality industry.
Through the dual credit program, students can gain hands-on experience in various departments, such as guest services, front office operations, housekeeping management, food and beverage management, sales and marketing, and event design. Its focus on practical skills and real-world challenges sets this program apart. With these hands-on experiences, students learn how to navigate real-world challenges, interact with guests effectively, and manage hotel operations confidently and professionally while improving their communication skills. As they acquire these practical skills and knowledge, Blanson CTE High School students are well-equipped to thrive in the fast-paced yet rewarding environment of the hospitality industry.
