At the opening game of the 2024-2025 school year on August 29, Blanson CTE High School’s hospitality students showcased their exceptional service during a special football watch event with the district’s Executive Leadership Team at W.W. Thorne Stadium.

The students’ professionalism, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence were evident as they served at the Hospitality Suite (the third floor of the stadium’s press box), leaving a lasting impression on Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney and all invited guests. Their attention to detail, warm interactions, and seamless coordination ensured everyone felt welcomed and valued throughout the event.

“Dr. Goffney was so impressed with their performance that she made them aware that she would include them in future events,” said Ashley Ingraham, Blanson CTEHS hospitality and tourism teacher. “This recognition speaks volumes about the skill, efficiency, and passion these students bring.”

What the Hospitality Program Looks Like in Action

Students in the Blanson CTE High School hospitality program exude poise, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence in service, which sets them apart. They provide attention to detail, friendly interactions, and seamless service coordination. Blanson CTEHS hospitality students can earn Level 1 Certification in Hospitality Management from Houston Community College.

*Blanson CTEHS is a Choice School offering Aldine ISD students 17 CTE (career and technology education) pathways.

Ingraham added that being selected for this honor is a testament to the students’ hard work and dedication. They set a high standard for their peers and demonstrated what can be achieved when approaching every opportunity with excellence.
